Behind in Your Conditioning 3-4 Weeks Out? What to do?

Contest Prep, something to really think about…

If you’re far behind in your conditioning 3-4 weeks out, and need to drop a SHITLOAD of weight in that short amount of time, it would be WISE and BEST to move your contest date up. You will not be at your best for the least bit; you’ll be flat, depleted, soft, and you’ll be risking a good amount of muscle loss due to drastic crash diet you’ll be putting yourself through. If your COACH is telling you otherwise, they are lying. A safe amount of weight you should be losing per week is 1.5-2.5lbs per week. If you need to force the issue to 3.5+lbs, you’ll be truly disappointed, miserable, overly tired, and also risking a HARDCORE rebound post-contest. Trust me, I’ve done this, and post contest, 40lbs was gained within 2-3 weeks. I kid you not.

Be smart, not stupid. Putting your body through situations like this can cause some serious damage to your metabolism, mental-state, and self-esteem.
